Nursing homes provide 24-hour skilled nursing for medically complex residents. Aegis Living is assisted living and memory care - private apartments, hospitality dining, and 24/7 caregivers with onsite nurses in a residential setting that prioritizes independence and engagement.
What does memory care at Aegis Living cost?
Life's Neighborhood® memory care typically runs $8,500 to $12,500 per month on the West Coast. National median assisted-living rent was $5,350 in 2023 (Genworth Cost of Care Survey), and memory care commands a premium because of staffing ratios and specialized programming.
How are your caregivers trained for dementia?
All Life's Neighborhood® team members complete dementia-specific training, and Aegis Living has been recognized as a Dementia-Capable Care Workforce Leader by the Crisis Prevention Institute. Training emphasizes person-centered approaches: redirect rather than correct, validate feelings, and adapt the environment to the resident.
Can my parent stay if their care needs increase?
In most cases, yes. Care scales within the same community from Light Assisted Living through Assisted Living, Transitional Care, and Life's Neighborhood® Memory Care. We also coordinate Hospice & End-of-Life Care in a resident's own apartment.
