Eat when you're hungry — not when the clock says so

Menus run 7am to 7pm. Residents choose the dining room, a private room, or in-apartment service. Chefs accommodate off-menu cravings and therapeutic diets without making meals feel clinical.

Three ways we serve meals

More than a cafeteria line

All day dining

Dietitian-designed menus with seasonal ingredients, served 7am–7pm. Order what you want, when you want — including texture-modified and therapeutic diets aligned to IDDSI standards.

Private dining

Reserve a private room for birthdays, anniversaries, and holiday dinners. Our culinary team handles setup so families focus on being together.

Hydration stations

Ice-cold, fruit- and herb-infused water in high-traffic lounges. Because dehydration in older adults can mimic dementia, hydration is tracked in each care plan — not treated as an afterthought.

Chef-led kitchens

Fresh, seasonal, and personal

Every community kitchen is led by chefs who know residents by name. Familiar dishes spark memories of family dinners and travel — which is why mealtimes are programmed for connection, not just calories.

Inside Life's Neighborhood®, memory-care dining uses smaller table groupings, contrasting tableware, calmer lighting, and dementia-informed cueing so residents eat with dignity.

Why nutrition is a clinical priority

Roughly 1 in 2 community-dwelling older adults is at risk of malnutrition (NCOA, 2024). People eat more when food looks and tastes like a restaurant — not a tray line.

We adapt menus for diabetic, cardiac, low-sodium, gluten-free, kosher, halal, vegetarian, and texture-modified needs. Three chef-prepared meals plus snacks are included in monthly rent; guest meals are available for visiting family.

Aging care must treat pleasure and dignity as clinical tools — not amenities. Meals are one of the most powerful places to apply that principle.

Resident smiling over coffee

When my mother stopped cooking at home, she stopped eating enough. The first week in dining here, she finished her plate every night — and started inviting tablemates to her birthday dinner in the private room.
